Day 2: Stress

Homeschooling while juggling work is harder than I expected. Maybe I’m pushing myself too hard. But I want to focus on my kids and their questions and I also want to focus on work. And right now there’s little opportunity for separation or heads down time. Constant distractions make it hard to focus on anything.

Dutch teachers are on it, they’ve given us logins to their online learning tools, they are making themselves available for google hangouts and keeping us updated via the school email tool. It’s super helpful, but also hard to keep up when trying to fit in more than a full day of work.

But I’m happy to have two fun projects to work on and an amazing team to connect with a couple times per day. And I’m thankful to be working.

At lunchtime I took a long bike ride with the kids. Lots of people were out. Exercising. Running, cycling, jump roping, doing push ups. It’s good to see people taking care of themselves.

I should take note.
